Terms of service
The ground rules for using DinePilot.
Last updated: 16 July 2026
1. Who these terms are between
They are between DinePilot and the restaurant that holds the account. The person who signs up as owner confirms they are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
2. Early access
DinePilot is currently in early access and provided free of charge. That means:
- Features may change, and some things on our roadmap are not built yet.
- We may occasionally take the service down for maintenance.
- We are not charging you today. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before any charge applies — you will never be billed by surprise.
3. Your account
- Only the owner can create, change or deactivate staff accounts. You are responsible for who you give access to and what they do with it.
- Keep credentials confidential. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised.
- You must give accurate details when signing up and keep them current.
4. Your data is yours
Your menu, orders, payment records and analytics belong to you. We store and process them to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. We do not sell your data or use it to advertise to your guests.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use DinePilot to:
- Break the law, or handle payments you are not entitled to take.
- Attempt to access another restaurant's data, or probe, scan or overload the service.
- Upload content you do not have the rights to, or anything unlawful.
- Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
6. Payments and billing
DinePilot records how your guests paid — cash, card or UPI — so your cashier can close the bill. We do not process, hold or transfer any money, and we are not a payment provider. Collecting payment from your guests, and any tax on it, remains entirely your responsibility.
7. Availability
We work hard to keep DinePilot up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service during early access. The staff app degrades to manual refresh if its live connection drops, and reconnects when it can.
8. Liability
During early access DinePilot is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Ending it
You can stop using DinePilot and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that puts the service or other restaurants at risk — we will tell you why where we reasonably can.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. If a change materially affects you, we will update the date above and notify you rather than changing them silently.
